He is survived by: his wife Vivian Schuerman (LaVae); his children, Shona Madsen (Russ Leaming) of Blair, NE and Harley; his daughter-in-law Patti Schuerman of Wilber, NE.; his grandchildren, Hayden, Melissa Schuerman of Omaha, NE, Zach Madsen (Makendra Kellogg) of Blair, NE, Kiley and Ryan Nelson of Garland, NE.; his brother-in-law Allen Schuerman (Bucky) of DeWitt, NE.; his son-in-law Mark Madsen; and his siblings-in-law, Joe, Verla Tyser, Floyd Schuerman (Whitey), Dale, Donna Rezny and Patty Schuerman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been designated to Clatonia Trinity Lutheran Cemetery and the Wilber Fire & Rescue.
