He was predeceased by: his parents, John Rasmus and Vernelle Rasmus (Erickson); his aunt Lillie Fisher; and his uncle Merlin Erickson. He is survived by: his wife Sandy of West Point; his daughter Jennifer Fullner (Latham) of West Point; and his sister Kristen Kusik (Ken) of Lincoln.

Memorials may be made to West Point Fire and Rescue and Trinity Church in West Point.
