He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilhelm Broekemeier and Wilhelmina Broekemeier; his wife Mae Ida Schmidt; his daughter Ruth; his sons-in-law, Robert Miller and James Abraham; his brothers, Willie Broekemeier (Alieta) and Walter Broekemeier (Shirley); and his nephew Roger Broekemeier.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Abraham of Saginaw, Michigan, Jane Tillman (Gary) of Lincoln, Nebraska and Robert Broekemeier (Christina) of Springfield, Nebraska; his grandchildren, Rachel Abraham, Aaron Abraham (Jennifer), Caleb Abraham (Emily), Amanda Bermudez (Joshua), Daniel Miller (Kristin), Micah Broekemeier (Jenn), Judah Broekemeier, Hannah Broekemeier and Cari Brundage (George); and his great grandchildren, Hailey, Elijah Brundage, Noah, Joel, Levi Abraham and Olivia Abraham.
