She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Dixon and Ione Dixon (Nolting); and her parents-in-law, John (Hans) and Lora Gardes (Pruess). She is survived by: her husband Jack Gardes of West Point, NE; her children, Jacqueline (Phillip Loomis, family: Jolene Loomis, Brandon, Melissa, Chris Svenningsen, Nicole Loomis) and Joel (Barb Gardes); her grandchildren, Carson Gardes and Cali Gardes; her siblings, Ervin Dixon of Nebraska City, NE, Sherlene (Ron Bruns), Donna (Vernon Siebrandt) and Debra (Dennis Kochevar); and her sister-in-law Cheryl Dixon. She is also survived by ses 14 Step Great Grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be directed to the family for future designation in Earlene's name.
