She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Clausen and Louise Clausen (Hermann); her spouse Chris Batenhorst; her son Terry Batenhorst; her sisters, Kathleen Wagner (Kate) and Ardene Wolff; and her granddaughter Naomi Batenhorst.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Batenhorst (Nancy) of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Daniel Batenhorst (Reiko) of Okinawa, Japan, Randal Batenhorst (Alice) of Raleigh and Mary Batenhorst of Maricopa; her daughter-in-law Chong Batenhorst (Terry) of Rocklin, California; and her siblings, Bernice Seward of Deltona, Ann Wolff of West Point and Jim Clausen (Doris) of West Point. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
