He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Batenhorst and Elizabeth Batenhorst; his son Terry Batenhorst; his siblings, Edward, Bruno Batenhorst, Gert Wiegert, Mary Anne Tomrdle and Wilma Lane; and his granddaughter Naomi Batenhorst.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Clausen of West Point, NE; his children, Michael Batenhorst (Nancy) of Sidney, IA, Daniel Batenhorst (Reiko) of Okinawa, Japan, Randal Batenhorst (Alice) of Raleigh, NC and Mary Batenhorst (JoAnn Dankert) of Maricopa, AZ; his daughter-in-law Chong (Terry) of Roseville, CA.; and his sisters, Evelyn Collins (Clark) of West Point, NE and Margaret Arter (Larry) of Norfolk, NE. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
