She was predeceased by: her parents, Fritz Renter and Lena Renter (Weimann); her husband Donald Smeal; her son Delwin Smeal; her grandson Seth Hasemann; her siblings, Raymond Renter (Eileen Bose) and Elaine Dinslage (Norbert); and her brothers-in-law, Raymond Smeal (Arlene), Bill Smeal and Tony Bose.
She is survived by: her children, Marlynn Hunke (Virgil), Renee Smeal, Ellen Gross-Rhode (Myron), Mary Lou Tomka (James), Denise Cerny (Rodney), Lori Scherer (Jeffrey), Lowene Hasemann (Gary) and Jay Smeal (Angie); her daughter-in-law Vicki Smeal; her brothers, Roland Renter (Audrey) and Keith Renter (Jeanene); and her sister-in-law Loretta Smeal. She is also survived by 32 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Snyder Fire Department or St. Leo's Cemetery Fund.
