With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jan Claussen of Wayne, Nebraska, born in Norfolk, Nebraska, who passed away on August 11, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Retzlaff and Rose Retzlaff (Lierman); her parents-in-law, Adolph and Dora Claussen; her siblings, Milton Retzlaff, Delbert Retzlaff, Marvin Retzlaff, Delpha Wolff and Lois Nielsen; and her grandson-in-law Devon O'Connell.
She is survived by: her spouse A. Eugene'Gene'Claussen; and her children, Julie Thomsen (Alan) of Wayne, David Claussen (Michelle) of Winside, Sherri Horning (Brian) of Overland Park, KS and Jason Claussen (Heidi) of Wayne. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the Claussen family for later designation.
