He was predeceased by: his parents, Dean Frye and Bette Frye (Smith); his brothers, Dean, Jr. and Richard; and his father-in-law Merlin Olson.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his daughters, Jennifer Frye of Lincoln, NE, Beth Cavanaugh (Tim) of Omaha, NE and Peggy Wilson (Jon) of Waverly, NE; his siblings, Cheryl Moser (Eldon) of Yutan, NE and Mark (Lori) of Fremont, NE; his sisters-in-law, Christine Frye of Omaha, NE and Lynn Frye of Yutan, NE; his grandchildren, Philomena, Maggie Hogan, Tyler Cavanaugh, Jacob Wilson and Kayla Molck (Gage); his great grandchildren, Cooper Diever and Addy Molck; his mother-in-law Carole Olson; and his brother-in-law Jim Olson. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
