He was predeceased by: his wife Karen Bauerly; his granddaughter Shayla Haselhorst; his brother Don Hoppe; and his brothers-in-law, Roger Swanson and Dave Bargstadt.
He is survived by: his children, Lora Rohde (Randy) of Fordyce, Jane Haselhorst (Dennis) of Osmond, Ed Hoppe (Missy) of Osmond, Jeff Hoppe (Ann) of Fremont and Rich Hoppe (Brenda) of Osmond; his grandchildren, Chris Rohde (Alyce), Alex Rohde (Amy), Kimber Hohenstein (Nick), Alissa Haselhorst, Emily Nelson (Taylor), Amanda Paulsen (Jarrod), Emmett Hoppe, Ethen Hoppe, Samantha Smith (Chris), Abby Hoppe, Josh Hoppe, McKayla, Wyatt and Sydney Hoppe; his great grandchildren, Bailey Rohde, Tresden, Brooklynn, Kaylee Rohde, Brock, Teagan Nelson, Nox, Lux and Kix Paulsen; his siblings, Jack Hoppe (Joyce), Joe Hoppe (Sharon), Cora Swanson, Lynda Brady (Dennis) and Cindy Slobodny (Gary); and his sisters-in-law, Ann Hoppe and Marsha Dahlseid (Jack). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
