He is survived by : his wife Sharon (Kerchal); his children, Julie, Sheila and Michael; his son-in-law Dan Ashline; his grandchildren, Nick and Eliese (Charlie Hall); his child-in-law Skip Dargis; his grandsons, Scott (Brooke) and Eric Dargis; his child-in-law Kim (Brown); his grandchildren, Brittnae, Breann, Alexys Jo, Logan Ryder Patterson, Olive, Haddon Hall and Ethan Leland Ashline; and his nephews, Leon and Devon Maris.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 29th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Christian Union Church (510 Bailey St, Stratton, NE 69043). A burial was held on Saturday, June 29th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Riverside Cemetery. A graveside service was held on Saturday, June 29th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
