We bid farewell to Alberta Maher of Waterloo, Nebraska, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 7, 2025 at the age of 97. Alberta touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover Mackey and Ola Mackey (Duffield); her husband Ralph Maher; her son David Maher; her son-in-law Gary Warengo; her grandson Jeromy Hardison; and her siblings, Doris Cockerton (Lyle), Dorothy Dutton (Tex), Roberta Funkhouser (Bill), Howard Mackey (Ruby), Hollis Mackey (Frances) and Robert Mackey (Joyce).
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Warengo of Blencoe, John Hardison (Jody) of Missouri Valley, Bob Hardison (Cheri) of Onawa, Denise Hardison of Waterloo, Steven Maher of Onawa and Jodi Maher (Raul) of Sioux City, Iowa; her grandchildren, Shannon McDonald, Nicole Debartolo (Aaron), Jennifer Brunson (Aaron), Hilary Hardison, Colton Hardison (Sarah), Carla Glass (Joe), Kelsie Hardison, Chris Maher (Marcy), Lyse Yanke (Allen), Stefanie Hageman (Tony) and Lucas Combs; her great grandchildren, Kayden, Averie, Chace, Emersyn, Kallie, Oliver, Mara, Steyr, Camryn, Braedyn, Seth, Jessica, Connor, Aubrey, Brady, Bentley, Oaklyn, Madison, Jillyan, Alyssa, Clark, James and Bentlee; and her great great grandchild Kori. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; along with many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Goslar Funeral Home Chapel (1629 10th St, Onawa, IA 51040). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
