It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas J. Reynolds of Walthill, Nebraska, who passed away on October 20, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Reynolds and Kathryn Reynolds (Loofe); and his sister Georgia McQuistan. He is survived by: his former wife Jeanne Whelchel (Nelson); his significant other Shelia Smith; his sons, Tony Whelchel (Megan) and Barrett Fischer; his partner's children, Chris Smith (Jennifer), Valerie Olson (Kristopher) and Jeffrey Smith (Tori); his grandchildren, McKenna, Cody Whelchel, Ethan, Ellie Smith, Everett, Lillian Olson, Maxwell and Penelope Smith; his sister Mary K. Schenk (Don); and his brother-in-law Neal McQuistan. He is also survived by five nephews; numerous cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Walthill Senior Center and the Walthill Fire Department.
