He was predeceased by: his parents, Nova Preston and Florence Preston (Getzinger); his son Michael Preston; and his brothers, Winston Preston and Wesley Preston.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Swanson; his children, Gary Preston (Barb), Mary Nelson (Scott), Nancy Preston and Thomas Preston (Shannon); his daughter-in-law Donna Preston; his sister Lorna VonSeggern; and his sister-in-law Jean Preston. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
