She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Hallstrom and Alice Hallstrom (Henrickson); her husband Robert Hagey; her brothers, Vernon, Maurice, DeWayne and Marlowe Hallstrom; and her stepdaughter Lynn O'Leary.

She is survived by: her children, Connie Hagey of Sioux City, Frank Hagey of Palisade and Robert Hagey (Judy) of Urbandale, Iowa; and her sister June Heeney of Sioux City, Iowa. She is also survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
