He was predeceased by: his wife Jan Spencer; and his parents, Leslie Spencer and Peggy Spencer. He is survived by: his children, Dawn Grant (Rick), Suzette Shepherd, Tara Spencer Mary Spencer (Mark) and James Spencer (Becky); his siblings, David Spencer, Leslie Negley, Diane Hiatt (Duane), Laura Coufal and Sandy Shukis (Russ); his grandchildren, Tyler Swanson, Courtney Swanson, Hunter Swanson, Jack Swanson, Madeline Shepherd, Megan Shepherd, Samantha Spencer, Emma Spencer, Noah Spencer and Allyson Evans; and his great grandchildren, Leopold Brown and Miles Swanson. He is also survived by his four daughters, one son.
In a final act of giving, Steve's liver and kidneys were donated.
