He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Beatty and Ralph Beatty of Peru, NE; and his brother Jim Beatty of Lee's Summit, MO.. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Beatty (Dishong) of Auburn; his sisters, Sharon Maynard of Milwaukee, WI and Karen Sookram (Jai) of Lincoln, NE; his sister-in-law Barb Beatty of Lee's Summit, MO.; his sons, Dave Beatty (Abby) of Lincoln, NE and Jeff Beatty (Deanna) of Auburn, NE; and his grandchildren, Evan, Kyle and Brett. He is also survived by many cousins, nephews, nieces and great grandchildren.
To this day, Rex holds several records in numerous categories for his achievements and contributions to his favorite sport.
