She was predeceased by: her parents, Adolph Ostry and Lillie Ostry (Vyhlidal); her husband George Kavan; her daughter Joyce Ruzicka; her son-in-law Tim Mixan; her great grandchild Addie Mixan; and her sisters, Alice Kavan and Mildred Ostry.
She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Mixan of Omaha, NE, Cindy Pollard (Frank) of Fremont and Karen Sitts (Kenton) of Morse Bluff; her son-in-law Gene Ruzicka of North Bend; her brother Donald Ostry of Prague; her brothers-in-law, Lester Kavan (Marlene) of Des Moines, IA and Irv Shestak of Lincoln; her sister Dorothy Jelinek of Wahoo; and her sister-in-law Maxine Kratky (Bernard) of Prague. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be directed to the family for a designation at a later date.
