She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie "Ben" DeFreece and Cora Ganhart DeFreece; her brothers, Donald "Jim" DeFreece and Melvin "Red" DeFreece; her brothers-in-law, Harold Zech, Alvin Turner and Richard Schanot; and her nephew Jimmy DeFreece.

She is survived by: her siblings, Bennie DeFreece (Beverly) of Lincoln, Lila Zech of Wahoo, Valda Davidson (Loren) of Lincoln, Eileen Turner of Omaha and Susie Schanot of Joplin, MO; and her sister-in-law Marilyn DeFreece of Lincoln. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A memorial has been established to the family's choice.
