We are sad to announce that on December 18, 2023, at the age of 100, Vance Frederick Taylor of Virginia, Nebraska, born in Kearney, Nebraska passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Whitney W. Taylor and Mary Jacobson Taylor; his wife Mildred C. Taylor; his brother Clarence W. Taylor; his sister-in-law Mary Lou Taylor; and also, Nancy C. Taylor, Sherry H. Taylor and Ada Lynne Maul.
He is survived by: his nephew Douglas L. Taylor; his son Dean F. Taylor; his grandchildren, Craig Taylor, Garrett Taylor and Lauren Taylor Edwards (Ryan) of Omaha, NE; and his great grandchildren, Sylvie Christine Edwards and Hugo Douglas Edwards. He is also survived by nephews and nieces and beloved cousins, friends, and neighbors.
Memorials may be made in his honor to any of the following organizations, each of which Vance honored highly in life: St. Paul United Methodist Church; Nebraska Children's Home Society Foundation; The Salvation Army of Omaha; The Durham Museum; The Museum of Nebraska Art in Kearney.
