He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas A. Huenink and Leona E. Huenink (Topp); his brother Richard; his parents-in-law, Clark and Lydia King; his son-in-law Lane Hoss; his siblings-in-law, Keith, Harlan King, Jake Detmer, Clarence Palmer, Glen McCharness, Vera Palmer, Ruby King and Gladys Detmer; and his nephews, Doug Detmer and Clark Palmer.

He is survived by: his wife Joan King; his children, Jody of Lincoln, Scott (Michelle) of Panama, Chris (Denise) of Hickman and Tim (Goldrie) of Colorado; his grandchildren, Amy (Sean), Lacey, Katie (Shawn), Tabitha, Colby (Rachel), Asheley and Forrest; his great grandchildren, Olivia, Samantha, Lydia, Sophie and Shelby; his siblings, Marilyn McCharness and Marvin (Marsha); and his sisters-in-law, Arlene Huenink and Doris King.
