It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Teda Fritzen of Virginia, Nebraska, born in Beatrice, Nebraska, who passed away on October 7, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, John Leners and Dora Leners (Hesterman); her parents-in-law, Lammert and Bertha Fritzen; her great grandchildren, Carter Vrbka and Owen Vrbka; her siblings-in-law, Angeline Johnson (Walter), Marie Stevens (Jack), Johann Fritzen, Tobias Fritzen (Clara), John Fritzen (Bernice), Raymond Fritzen (Joyce), Freddie Roschewski and Herman Williams; and her nephew Brian Leners.

She is survived by : her husband Lenhart Fritzen of Beatrice; her children, Susan Vrbka (Dan) of Eagle, Beverly Spang (Mike) of Cortland, Duane Fritzen (Judy) of Filley and Stanley Fritzen (Denise) of Beatrice; her grandchildren, Shelly Steffensmeier (Joe), Derek Fritzen (Alycia), Ashley Peterson (Andrew), Chris Vrbka, Adam Vrbka (Heather DeLong), Jennifer Heusinkvelt (Ethan), Jared Spang (Tyra), Blake Darby, Brandon Darby (Jessica), Jake Vrbka (Becky) and Stacy Yslas; her brother Ronald Leners (Betty); and her brother-in-law LaVern Fritzen (Irene). She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial has been established to the American Lutheran Church of Filley and the Filley Cemetery with Mike and Traci Baehr and Jim and Carol Frerichs in charge.
