It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Dean Thompson of Virginia, Nebraska, who passed away on September 16, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland Thompson and Doris Thompson; and his sister Harriet Busse. He is survived by: his siblings, Carolyn Purchase and David Thompson; his wife Alene; his children, Ken Thompson (Kim) and Dana Preston (Dave); his grandchildren, Kristen (Calen Philbrook), Kathryn Thompson, Karalyn Thompson, Nina Preston, Kristopher (Natalie Thompson) and Seth Preston; and his great grandchildren, Lily, Elijah and Ezra.
