John Burk Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Burk (Verdigre, Nebraska), born in Tilden, Nebraska, who passed away on February 21, 2020, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick Burk and Marilyn Burk (Woeppel); and his sister Linda LaRue. He is survived by: his former wife Mary Woslager; his children, Matt Burk of Chambers and Jennifer Nelson (Travis) of Bartlett; his grandchildren, Tyson Burk, Emily Burk and Kolt Nelson; and his sister Barbara King of Norfolk. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation.

“This is Gary Radden. I came out hunting with Davey Woeppel in the early 1980's. Prairie Chickens, Turkeys and Deer.. I stayed one weekend with Davey at the house on the property. I still remember Rod and the dog " Mike" that leaned over the side and fell out of the truck. He was OK so we all had a good laugh.. We always felt welcome and appreciated the hospitality.. My brothers and I still talk about the great times out there to this day. John always put a smile on everyone's face”
