She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Sauerwein and Margaret Sauerwein (Reagle); her siblings, Floyd, Albert, Eleanor, Dorothy, Cleo and Lucille; her grandson Baby Beekman; and her great grandchild Brycen Schmidt.
She is survived by: her husband George Dean Schmidt; her children, Howard (Margie), Duane (Brenda), Nolan (Lori), Colleen Kalblinger of Valentine, NE, Lila (Russ Brown), Yola (Dan Beekman), Neil of Inverness, FL and Cindy (Tony Rish); and also Floyd Reagle (Ethelena).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran School in Valentine or the Mount Hope Cemetery in Valentine.
