It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janis K Schmieding of Utica, Nebraska, who passed away on March 8, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Hoelting and Helen Hoelting (Svoboda); her siblings, Lynn Hoelting and Mary Hoelting; her parents-in-law, Wilbert and Lorna Schmieding; her siblings-in-law, Jean, Gus Lehmann and Dan Barrett; her nephew Jason Barrett; and her great-nephew Clayton Real.
She is survived by: her husband Merle Schmieding of Utica, Nebraska; her children, Shawn Schmieding (Melissa) of Gresham, Renee Williams (Jeff) of Gresham and Kristin Schmieding of Seward, Nebraska; her grandchildren, Nicholas Schmieding of Gresham, Nebraska, Kathryn Williams of Gresham, Nebraska, Courtney Williams of Gresham, Nebraska, Carly Williams of Gresham, Nebraska and Kolten Williams of Gresham, Nebraska; and her siblings-in-law, Jane Tech (Dale), Myron Schmieding (Donneta), Evie Barrett, Verla Blum (Dean), Joe Schmieding (Carol), Ed Schmieding (Idona) and Pam Hoelting. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
