He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ehlers and Twila Ehlers; his wife Linda Ehlers; his son Alan Ehlers; his sister Pamela; his siblings-in-law, Dennis Fielder, Kathy Weber, LaVerne and Nancy Obermier; and his nephew Gregory Battreall.
He is survived by: his daughter Sharon Hartshorn (Kelly) of Utica, Nebraska; his daughter-in-law Denise Ehlers of Madison, Nebraska; his grandchildren, Jonathan Ehlers (Krista), Barry Ehlers (Cali), Eric Ehlers, Jordan Ehlers, Haley Koranda (Kyle), Jesse Hartshorn, Hunter Hartshorn and Jayden Hartshorn; his great grandchildren, Lakely, Bo, Brooks Ehlers and Carder Koranda; his siblings, Frank Weber and Jolene Holmes (Larry); and his sister-in-law Elaine Battreall (Ronald). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
