She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Matson and Irene Matson (Isaac); her husband Dean Shackelford; her son Jerry Shackelford; her son-in-law Spencer Sydow; her great grandchild Jared Chitwood; her sister Neioma; her brother-in-law Alan Meguire; her brother Gaylord Matson; her parents-in-law, Virgil and Ruth Shackelford; and her sisters-in-law, Shirley (Hank Stecker) and Patricia (Burdette Melchert).

She is survived by: her daughters, Barbara Sydow of Stratton, NE, Cynthia Engel (Dave) of Silver Creek, Diane Riggs of Trenton, NE and Nancy Thomas (John) of Aurora, NE; and her grandchildren, Brian Sydow (Melissa), Jennifer Fries (Brad), Kody Sydow (Alyssa O'Dean), Laurie Poppert (Ryan Matteson), Tyrel Riggs (Lacy), Orrin Riggs (Terra), Nathaniel Chitwood (Emma Smith), Michael Chitwood (Hannah Luber) and John Andrew Thomas (Aleta). She is also survived by 20 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren.
