She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen R. Cross and Edna Cross (Marquart); her grandmother Marquart; her husband John R. Acton; her stepmother Dollie Cross; her sister Bernice Gosnell (Harvey); her brothers-in-law, Lyle Harvey and Charley Gosnell; her siblings, Richard Cross and Joyce Kennedy; and her siblings-in-law, Ron Acton and Evelyn Acton.
She is survived by: her children, Jerald Acton (Kristy) of North Platte, NE, Pamela Hagaman (Gale) of Bennet, NE and Loran Acton (Susan) of Concord, CA; her sister Joanne Banzhaf (Delba) of Eustis, NE; her brother-in-law Patrick Kennedy of The Villages, FL; her grandchildren, Joshua Mertlik of Lincoln, NE, Kyle Hagaman of Bellingham, WA, Nathaniel, Katie Acton of York, NE, Courtney Acton of Lincoln, NE, McKenzie Acton of Concord, CA and Lucas Acton of Phoenix, AZ; and her great grandchildren, Haylee and Brody Mertlik of Lincoln, NE. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, honorary family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel - McCook (607 Norris Ave, McCook, NE 69001). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Trenton Methodist Church (318 E 2nd St, Trenton, NE 69044).
