He was predeceased by: his father Kenneth "Mike" Brown; his wife Leota Brown; his mother Bernice Katherine Brown (Jones); his brother Larry Brown; and his grandson Troy Simmons.
He is survived by: his friend Jim; his children, Rodney Brown (Sharon), Bernice Gil (David), Richard Brown (Jamila), Brenda Heiney (Jim) and Robin Klein; and his siblings, Jack Brown (Penny), Peggy Graff, Carol Williams, Vicki Adams (Bob) and Bette Freeman. He is also survived by 14 grandsons; three granddaughters; 20 great-grandchildren.
Memorials in Jim's memory are suggested to the Anderson Center for Radiation Oncology at Community Hospital in McCook.
