He was predeceased by: his parents, Denzel Vleet and Bernice Van Vleet (Lockhart); his brother Merald Van Vleet; and his close friend Dessie Lewis. He is survived by: his sons, Michael Lee Van Vleet (Michelle) of Fountain, Kevin Dean Van Vleet of Chesapeake, Virginia, Pat Lewis (Ronda) of Trenton and Roger Lewis (Lisa) of Trenton; his grandchildren, Stephanie Mia Van Vleet, Christopher Ryan Van Vleet, Josh Lewis, Tommy Lewis, Rebekah Gillispie, Lindsey Kluthe, Lacey Alig, Lexey Humphrey and Laramey Becker; and his sister Karen Van Vleet of Wichita, Kansas.. He is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren.
