He was predeceased by: his parents, John James and Minnie Christine Mandl (Jensen); his stepfather Walt Dubbel; his son Daniel; his sister Mary Ann; his brothers-in-law, Leonard Podany and Arland Thies; his brothers, Wilfred (Willie), Dale, Ron, Dennis (Sam), Cliff and Harold; his sisters-in-law, Peggy Weston and Pauline Bethune; and his parents-in-law, Lowell and Josephine Bethune.

He is survived by: his sons, Delbert and Kenneth; his wife Darlene Bethune; and his children, Jan Bayne (Earl), Cindy Willis, Ron Mandl (Mary), John Mandl (Lynette), Del Mandl (Lisa), Ken Mandl (Angie), Nick Mandl (Kama) and Dolores Werner (Rick). He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, and several friends.
