He is survived by: his son Tucker Hecht of Lenexa, Kansas; his mother Nancy Hecht of Battle Creek; and his siblings, Lisa Mettler (Paul) of Chicago, Mark Hecht (Mary) of Tilden, Anne Meis (Jim) of Elgin, Emily Borer (Merle) of Elgin, John Hecht (Stacy) of Lincoln and Kathleen Margheim (Scott) of Columbus. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and many cousins.
