He was predeceased by: his parents, Ludwig Heinrich "Louie" and Emma Magdalena Dorthea "Lena" Herbolsheimer (Breyer); his former wife Marjorie Wragge; and his siblings, Lorenz, Gerhardt, Eldon, Harlan, Earl, Rose Fredrickson, Edna Aubert and Lyleth Meyer.
He is survived by: his wife LaVerne Nathan; his children, Theresa Pool (Greg), Michael Herbolsheimer (Lori), Marla Benson (Lee) and Audrey Frickel (Dave); his grandchildren, Christine Benigni (Shane), Brandi Brinkman (Dave), Linsey Bellinger (Derek), Chelsea Cleary (Brian), Ryan Frickel (Chelsea Hemmelberg), Jordyn Frickel and Kane Benson; his stepchildren, Tom Nathan and Diane Nykodym (Frank); his stepgrandchildren, Robin and Laura; and his brother Louie Herbolsheimer. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
