He was predeceased by: his parents, Gideon Zurcher and Aurel Zurcher (Kohl); his son Ronn; his wife Joan Lang; his son-in-law Sam Simmons; and his sister Jeannie Evans.

He is survived by: his daughters, Angela Simmons-Thiele (Tom), Pamela Robertson (Jan) and Lori Herbolsheimer (Mike); his daughter-in-law Lynn Zurcher; and his siblings, Dean Zurcher (Charlotte) and Joann Staub. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
