He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert W. Schroeder and Dolores Schroeder (Matya); and his siblings, Daniel, Robert W. Jr. and Denise A. Dick.

He is survived by : his daughter Ashley Ertz (Jeremy); his granddaughters, Rylee and Jordynn of Lincoln, NE; and his siblings, Diane Frazer of Columbus, NE, David Schroeder (Jay) of Noblesville, IN, Don Schroeder (Lori) of Wagonor, OK, Ron Schroeder of Tekamah, Deb Campbell (Les) of Crescent, IA, Mary Ducheneaux (Kelly) of Tekamah, Margaret Carlson (Chris) of Tekamah and Marti Potadle (Kurt) of Herman. He is also survived by aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, July 5th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church (3480 NE-32, Tekamah, NE 68061). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, July 5th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
