She was predeceased by: her parents, Swedish Maria and Hulda Othelia Maria; her sister Elfie Nelson of Oakland; her husband Lorin Robert Lipps of Tekamah; her siblings, Sidney (Helen) of Oakland, Vincent (Carla) of Oakland, Robert Lindstrom (Marlene) of Oakland, Ruth Nielsen (Wayne) of Lyons and Betty Rogers (Chuck) of Oakland; and her brother-in-law Leslie Nelson of Oakland.

She is survived by: her children, Clark Lorin Lipps of Tekamah and Anita Maria Stratman (Lipps-Wietjes). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Ione was a group leader for funerals, made quilts for charity and was a greeter at Emmanuel Lutheran.
