He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Schmidt and Wimda Schmidt (Hoehne); and his brother-in-law LeRoy Schmidt. He is survived by: his wife Marge of Tecumseh; his daughters, Deb Tosko of Lincoln and Stacy Grof (Scott) of Lincoln; his grandchildren, Amanda Nielsen (Brendan) of Lincoln, Tyler Grof of Joplin and Nathan Grof of Lincoln; his great grandchildren, Elinor and Josephine Nielsen of Lincoln; and his sister Lois Schmidt of Lincoln. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
