He was predeceased by: his sons-in-law, William Shea and Clark Ackerman; his siblings, Mary Ann Wagner, Bernice Beals, Paul Wenzl and Luke Wenzl; and his sisters-in-law, Jean Wenzl, Sue Wenzl and Eva Wenzl.

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Wenzl; his children, Gary Wenzl (Jane) of Tecumseh, Karla Daehling (Kevin) of Sterling, Danny Wenzl (Lisa) of Burchard, Julie Shea, Joseph Delgado of Firth, Diane Ackerman of Phoenix, AZ, Jimmy Wenzl of Sterling and Leslie Ottemann (Kurt) of Lincoln; and his siblings, Louis Wenzl of Lincoln, Jim Wenzl of Lincoln, Don Wenzl (Bonnie Wenzl) of Lincoln, David Wenzl of Steinauer and Tony Wenzl (Carol Wenzl) of Lincoln. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
