She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond and Margaret Thies, Sr. (Schultz); her siblings, Norman, Ernest, Harold, Raymond Thies, Jr., Flora Coffey and Rosalie Belford; and her grandson Mark Werman.
She is survived by: her former husband Jack Schaffer; her children, Kristy Prine of Tecumseh and Vince Schaffer of Crab Orchard; her grandchildren, Rebecca Cabrales of Jack and Nicholas Werman (Jessica); and her great grandchild Selena Cabrales. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family's choice.
