He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Royal and Millicent Royal (Poggemeyer); his children, Jody Royal and Aaron Royal; and his brother Don Royal.

He is survived by: his wife Kathy Royal; his children, Mark Royal (Jodi), Nate Royal (Camie) and Nicole Keslar (Mike); his grandchildren, Tiffany Walker (Nick), Jake Royal (Stephanie), Jordan Royal, Caitlyn Royal, Nick Royal, Ryker Keslar and Remy Keslar; his great grandchildren, Jayden, Adilynn, Raylynn Walker, Everlee and Arlo Royal; his brother Norman Royal; and his sister-in-law Donna Royal. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
