He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Sydow and Christine Sydow (Miller); and his stepsiblings, Mildred Olson (Ed Olsen), Gladys Mallette (Roy Mallette) and Harvey Luse.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Elaine Bohlen; his son Scott Allen Sydow; his granddaughter Danelle Renee Owens (Stephen); his great grandchildren, Emma Sue Owens and Zane Stephen Owens; his daughter-in-law Rhonda Yost; and his siblings, Donna Kirk (Sydow), Grant Sydow and Val Sydow (Sue). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
