He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Bryan Powell and Pauline Spunaugle Powell; his grandson Dennis Powell; and his siblings, Bud Powell, Charles Powell (Janey), Marvin Powell, Fern Gorrie (Harold), Dola Freeman, Marilou Miller (James), Mary Jane Powell and Doris Jean Ditto (Floyd).
He is survived by: his wife Rita Alexander; his stepchildren, Cindy Mumford (Tony), Peggy Powell Mogensen, Doug Powell and Chery Cramer (Greg); his grandchildren, Michael Mogensen (Tina), Kyle Mogensen (Tab), Bryan Powell, Carreen Price (Eli), Katherine Powell, Jessica, Ross, Wade Mumford and Nick DeLuca (Alyssa); his great grandchildren, Carter, Alexis, Katie, Max, Piper, Simon Mogensen and Knox DeLuca; and his sister-in-law Elaine Alexander. He is also survived by his wife of 66 years, and his four children.
