He was predeceased by: his father LeRoy F. Sr. Obermeyer; his grandparents, Lawrence, Helen Ramold, Henry and Kate Obermeyer; and his siblings-in-law, Alvern, Agnes Carper, Patricia and Dianna.
He is survived by: his mother Shirley Obermeyer (Ramold); his wife Joan Obermeyer; his children, Rachel Powles (Kurt) and Ryan Shannon; his grandchildren, Mickenna Shannon, Quinn Shannon (Ansley), Skylar DeSanti, Wade and Zoey Powles; his great grandchildren, Chancetin Shannon and Ripley Campbell; his siblings, Butch Obermeyer (Lana), Chris Mounce (Jeff Hahn), Lonnie Obermeyer (Susan) and Lisa Berner (Greg); and his sister-in-law Charlotte Shade (Jack). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many many friends.
Memorials are suggested to Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, UNMC Cancer Center or the family's choice.
