It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Howard Leroy Jacobson of Syracuse, Nebraska, who passed away on January 24, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Jacobson and Anna Jacobson (Minderman); his in-laws, Harold and Bette McClane; and his sister-in-law Jan McMullen.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn McClane; his children, Julie Steinhoff (Troy), Jeffrey Jacobson (Debbie), Jill Gansemer (Greg) and Jason Jacobson (Tana); his grandchildren, Travis Steinhoff (Emily), Renee Steinhoff, Mitchell Steinhoff (Toni), Spencer Steinhoff, Ashley Jacobson (Gabe Miller), Nicholas Jacobson, Nicole Hansen (Ty), Alex Gansemer, Cyman Jacobson (Lizzie Dibble) and Jax Jacobson; his great grandchildren, Jaxson, Ryker, Benjamin, Olivia, Reed and Magnolia; his sister Marilyn Farmer (Bill); and his sister-in-law Judy Harris (Don). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A reception was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Syracuse Country Club (266 W 9th St, Syracuse, NE 68446).
