With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Hilda E. Wellensiek of Syracuse, Nebraska, born in Cook, Nebraska, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Petersen and Anna Petersen (Grundman); and her husband Virgil Wellensiek. She is survived by: her sons, Charles (Marilyn), Howard (Patricia), Gordon and Dallas; her grandsons, Wesley (Kristie), Michael (Nicole), Jeffrey (Julie), Brian (Sara) and Tyler (Chad); her stepgrandsons, Dino (Monique Galasso) and Tony (Alexandria Galasso); and her great grandchildren, Emma, Camille, Henry, Sophie, Ellie, Andrea, Vincent, Logan, Alexa, Jackson, Andrew, Eli and Owen.
