It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald A. Dutton of Syracuse, Nebraska, who passed away on February 18, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gerald A. Dutton to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald L. Dutton and Marjorie Dutton (Steel); his brother Bill; his siblings-in-law, Jean and Don; his aunt Ruth; and his uncle Frosty.
He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Dutton of Paul's United Methodist Church; his children, Gina Grosenbach, Diana Nolte (Clay), Justin Dutton, Todd Shallenberger (Nikkie), Tad Shallenberger (Tara) and Mindy Briley; his grandchildren, Megan (Tony), Makenna, Cade, Conner, Cole, Christian, Jordan, Drew, Blake, Trenten, Kaitlyn (Robert), Kymber, Ryan and Taylor; his great grandchildren, Grayson, Kinsley and Abe; his brothers, Lyle (Lorraine) and Terry (Cindy); and his siblings-in-law, Shirley, Carol, Larry (Carol), Monica (Pat), Leonard (Deborah) and Cliff. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Home - Syracuse Chapel (644 Park St, Syracuse, NE 68446). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Paulinus Catholic Church (863 5th St, Syracuse, NE 68446).
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
