It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darlene Smith (Syracuse, Nebraska), who passed away on January 20, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Johnson and Hattie Johnson (Bailey); her husband Robert Smith; and her sister Wilma (Jake). She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Doeden (Barney) of Syracuse, Daryl Smith and Ron Novak (Colleen) of Columbus; her grandchildren, Jim Ehmen, Lori Berner (Troy), Julie Smith, Gerald Focken, Rick Smith and Shelia Focken; and her sister-in-law Norma Smith. She is also survived by 4 Great Grandchildren; 3 Great Great Grandchildren.
