He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas W. Boyes and Adeline G. Boyes (Muchow); his wife Nadine; his daughter Pamela Schmersal; his son-in-law Mark Pitner; his brother Kenny; and his siblings-in-law, Elaine Boyes, Dan Sorgenfri, Lola Mae, Jerry Manthei and Martyn Shunkwiler.
He is survived by: his children, Jolene Whitehead of Geneva, Bill Boyes of Enid, OK, Gary Boyes (Lauri) of Lincoln and Patty Pitner of Lincoln; and his sister-in-law Janet Shunkwiler of Grand Island. He is also survived by 11 Grandchildren; 17 Great Grandchildren; 3 Great Great Grandchildren.
