He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Young and Leona Young (Ruehs); his wife Carol Lawrence; his sister Bonnie Fossum; his brother-in-law George Johnson; and his parents-in-law, Butch and Lottie Mae Blumberg.
He is survived by: his children, Jay Young (Denise) of Syracuse and Julie Berger of Lincoln; his stepdaughter Dee Metzger (Ron) of Omaha; his grandchildren, Christopher Berger (Lenore) of Lincoln, Hillary Berger of Lincoln and Sammy Jo Olson (Scott) of Omaha; his stepgrandchildren, Brett Metzger (Mary) of Omaha and Kristen Niver (Nick) of Omaha; his great grandchild Alice Berger of Lincoln; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Grace of Omaha, Luke of Omaha, Gwen Metzger of Omaha, Aubree of Omaha and Brynlee Niver of Omaha; his siblings, Dale Young (Birdean) of Syracuse and Lois Johnson of Sacramento, CA; and his brother-in-law Andy Fossum of Ashland. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
